Usually, the end of the semester comes crashing at me like a runaway train. The panic level is normally pretty high as I scramble to complete final projects and work on my worry caused ulcer. This time however, the end seems like it will NEVER get here. I managed to keep on top of all of my classes and get ahead even. I finally found a comfortable niche in animation and it's no longer like pulling my hair out one by one with tweezers. I'm having alot of fun working on my final animation. It's so satisfying to see an absurd idea develop into something tangible. I'm super antsy as I anticipate my graduation and the light at the end. I can't wait to move on to uber-real life. Here's a teaser to my silly animation about what happens to ratty old teddy bears.

About to Graduate!
I'm really excited and certainly ready to finally graduate SLCC. The journey has been a fun and rewarding one though. I'm acutally a little sad that I won't get to see the same faces and I'll miss my instructors and classmates. But time to move on. I hope to never stop learning or lose my drive. I can't wait to have more time and more motivation to round out my portfolio a little.
I'll also continue to submit work to various shows. I'm pleased that the South Jordan art show accepted all three of the pieces I submitted. The show will be held at The Gale Center, 10300 South Beckstead Lane, May 12th through June 18th. Here are two pieces that got in, somehow the colors in the digital images got reversed though:
